A Man’s Castle In His Home
November 7th, 2009 Posted in FamilyWhen we finished our basement last year, we framed in a castle closet in our playroom, with the intent that someday we’d paint the thing to actually look like one.
Since I’ve been sick most of the week, Kim decided this would be a good time to finish our castle downstairs. Okay, actually, it had more to do with Emmi asking for a princess birthday party. And she did basically all the work. I think the results are pretty cool.
The door, elevated book-reading nook/dungeon, and secret passageway parts still remain to be done. And I want to paint some ivy on it, and possibly a forest along the side wall. But at least there’s enough for a party.
